Whole-Body Recovery for Chronic Stress and Exhaustion
If you feel constantly depleted, unable to fully rest, or like you have lost the version of yourself that used to have energy and motivation, you are not alone. Burnout affects far more than mood and productivity. It reaches into your nervous system, hormones, sleep, and immune function. At Wild Horse Health, we take a whole-body approach to help you recover fully, not just get by.
Burnout is more than feeling tired. It is a state of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion caused by prolonged stress, and it often develops gradually in high-demand environments. While burnout is commonly associated with work, it can also stem from caregiving, chronic illness, or ongoing life stressors. Left unaddressed, it can affect multiple systems in the body, including the nervous system, hormones, and immune function.
Burnout often shows up on its own, but it can also overlap with other conditions like anxiety, depression, or chronic fatigue. Because the causes are layered, the recovery needs to be too.
Burnout is what happens when chronic, unrelieved stress outpaces your body’s ability to recover. Over time, the systems that regulate stress (your nervous system, adrenal glands, and thyroid) can become dysregulated. Sleep suffers, energy drops, focus fades, and small tasks begin to feel enormous.
The physical toll is real, and it is measurable. That is why simply resting or “pushing through” often is not enough. True recovery requires supporting the biological systems that stress has worn down.
Conventional approaches to burnout often focus on stress reduction, time off, and mental health support such as counseling. These can be helpful, but they often do not fully address the physical toll that chronic stress takes on the body. At Wild Horse Health, we look at burnout as a whole-body condition and build care around restoring resilience from the inside out.
Our Evaluation Process
Your first visit includes a 90-minute consultation where we listen carefully to your history, review your symptom timeline, and begin a targeted physical exam. We will talk through your goals, whether that is recovering fully, preventing a deeper crash, or building back capacity so you can return to the work and life you care about.
Based on your findings, we may recommend labs, hormone testing, nutrient panels, or coordination with mental health providers. Most patients leave their first visit with a clearer picture of what is happening and a plan for what to do next.
Burnout often builds quietly, and by the time patients seek care they are frequently exhausted, discouraged, and unsure where to start. We move at a pace that respects where your body actually is, not where you wish it were. Recovery is real, and it is possible.
You do not have to figure this out alone.
We complement therapy and psychiatric care by addressing physical and biochemical factors. Our approach doesn’t replace conventional care—it works alongside it.
Yes. We assess and diagnose anxiety-related conditions like GAD, panic attacks, and social anxiety. If we suspect a more complex mental health condition, we’ll refer or co-manage with a licensed mental health provider.
Only if you’re ready. Many of our therapies support healing without revisiting painful memories.
Absolutely. We work with patients who take medication, want to avoid it, or are exploring alternatives. Your goals guide your plan.
